Q: What happens, and when

Four stages from first call to final sign-off. Step 1: We make contact - We call you once your claim is allocated, confirm access and let you know what happens next. If your property is unsafe, make-safe happens before anything else. Step 2: Property Inspection - A Nexus estimator attends, documents the damage and builds the scope of works. We provide this information to your insurer (or loss adjuster if one has been appointed to your claim) so they can review and determine coverage of the claim. Step 3: Repair execution - We issue contracts, and you may have a policy excess to pay. Once those tasks are completed, our teams apply for permits (if required), organise our fully vetted tradespeople based on the repair requirements, order materials and commence works on an agreed sequence. Your Nexus supervisor will discuss the process with you and advise who is coming and when. Step 4: Final inspection - A final inspection with you before we close the job. Anything not right gets fixed, and the workmanship stays warranted after we leave.
